Description
Our 80 Hour General Familiarisation Course offers a fantastic opportunity to become familiar with the Airbus A330 200/300 aircraft; both classic and enhanced versions as fitted with RR Trent 700, GE CF6-80E & PW 4000 engines along then with the additional 15 HR Airbus A330 NEO 800 / 900 aircraft interfaces as fitted with the RR Trent 7000 engine variant.
The course is defined as a level II course which is designed to provide you with a general description of the aircraft and systems along with engines covering the basic system overview & description of controls, indicators, principal components, including their location and purpose, servicing and minor troubleshooting as per EASA Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014) Part-66 Appendix III Level II. And ATA specification 104 level II & UK CAA Regulation (EU) No. 1321/2014 Part-66 Appendix III Level II.
Target audience
The General Familiarisation course can be used by UK CAA & EASA Part 66 category A licensed staff / FAA AMP Personnel and airline / aircraft support staff or anyone requiring a general level II knowledge of an aircraft type. It can be used after being away from the type for a period of time and offers a refresher for your knowledge of the aircraft systems.
Aims
The course will allow you to define the general layout and characteristics of the aircraft’s major systems and powerplant along with identifying safety precautions related to the airframe, its systems and powerplant; when you complete the course and associated online continual assessment exam’s you will be issued with a certificate for the course.

Duration
Suggested duration for completion is 80 hours of learning for A330 200/300 & 15 hours for A330 800/900 extension.
Interval for continuation
There is no requirement to have interval continuation training for this course. The course can be used for many purposes such as refreshing knowledge after being away from the type for a period of time or introducing the type initially.
